Behind the Scenes of A PRETTY DECEIT - Littlemote House
September 28, 2020

As I'm sure many of you have already figured out, the inspiration for Littlemote House, the home of Verity's aunt and cousin, was largely Littlecote House. I often alter the names of the properties I use in my stories, even by a single letter, if an event which occurs there is tragic or disturbing, and entirely fictional, as was the case in A PRETTY DECEIT. However, I utilized many of the actual rooms and even elements of its history and folklore in the book, including the remains of a Roman villa.
