Book Updates - January 2020

2020 is slated to be a busy year, and I’ve been receiving numerous questions about upcoming releases, particularly “when can I finally get my hands on Gothic Myths Book 2?!” So, I’m going to compile all the info for you below. Here we go.
Lady Darby Book 8, A STROKE OF MALICE, will release on April 7th. It’s available for preorder now. I’ll continue to post links and updates to the book page as they become available. Be sure to check out my News page for info about current giveaways. And, yes, it will be available on audiobook, though sometimes those preorder/purchase links don’t pop up into a few weeks before or even the week of release. You’ll simply have to keep checking. I should receive my own stash of advanced copies shortly, and I’ll be running a contest for those once I do – so stay tuned.
Gothic Myths Book 2, tentatively titled NETHERWOOD HALL, is now slated for release in summer 2020. I know you have all been waiting for this book for a very long time, but as I explained in a previous post, my time and ability to work on it is subject to interruption by my other guidelines. It is more than halfway completed, and I hope to finish it within the next month or two. If I do, it will be released around mid-July. I’m extremely excited about it, and I can’t wait to get it into your hands. I apologize again for the long delay, and I’ll do everything I can to get it done.
THE DEADLY HOURS anthology is set for release on Sep 1, 2020. I’m thrilled to see this project finally coming to fruition, and I know you are going to love all the stories by Susanna Kearsley, CS Harris, Christine Trent, and myself. As I’ve mentioned before, my entry is a Lady Darby novella, set between the A PRESSING ENGAGEMENT novella and Book 5, A STUDY IN DEATH, and it features Bonnie Brock. It is or will be available for preorder everywhere books are sold in print and ebook. I haven’t heard anything yet about audio rights. I’ll continue to post links and info as they become available.
A PRETTY DECEIT, Verity Kent Book 4 is scheduled for release on Sep 29, 2020. (That’s quite a busy September!) I just turned in the finished manuscript to my editor, and I can tell you Verity is not resting on her laurels. I just noticed it is up for preorder on some sites, and will be up on others shortly. The cover is gorgeous, and I’ll be allowed to share it with all of you soon. More info to follow.
In terms of 2021, my schedule includes Lady Darby Book 9 (spring), Verity Kent 5 (autumn), and possibly Gothic Myths 3. |
