Fall TV
September 19, 2011
It’s that time of year again—the week when the fall season of TV shows debuts. Finally. I’m not exactly an avid television watcher, but even I was getting sick of all the reruns. I’ve also been looking forward to checking out some of the new shows that the networks seem to have been hyping since January. But, unfortunately, although this week will be crammed with TV watching, by next week most of the new shows will have fallen by the wayside, failing to capture my fancy. I’m admittedly picky when it comes to TV, and jealous of my time, so unless I really love it, I don’t bother.
So, without further ado, this week’s schedule will include:
Monday – How I Met Your Mother (so glad this is back!); Two Broke Girls; I may or may not see how they work Ashton Kutcher into Two and a Half Men; and I’ll continue watching the newest series of the British version of Top Gear
Tuesday - History Detectives on PBS (an ongoing series); New Girl (this looks hilarious!); and Unforgettable
Wednesday – Up All Night, possibly Revenge, and definitely Mythbusters when it returns Sep 28th.
Thursday – Big Bang Theory (one of my faves); Whitney; Person of Interest (some serious acting talent in this one); Prime Suspect; and maybe Charlie’s Angels
There are also a few shows debuting later in the season in mid-October I plan to check out, including Last Man Standing starring Tim Allen, and two competing fairy-tale centered shows – Grimm and Once Upon a Time.
What new shows do you plan to try this week? Any TV series that you are glad are back? What got cancelled that you miss? |
